I moved to South Troy 5 years ago, its a small, depressed neighborhood among the ruins of the Industrial Revolution. I haven’t lived in a little town like this for decades, since I finished art school and moved to NYC. I like the scale. My current work fluctuates between my observations and abstraction. Many of my favorite artists have created at this juncture. I’m happy to be inspired and have created a life focused on the daily practice of painting.
